KTP has recently been provided with a state-of-the-art multi-layer pipe system from Georg Fischer, which was recently handed over successfully.

The multi-layer pipe system will make significant contributions to research and development in the field of pipe technology. It can be used to investigate innovative material combinations in order to gain new insights into pipe production and drive forward research in this area. It is also conceivable that the plant could be used to investigate composite separation, for example to clarify issues in the circular economy and sustainability sector.

This new research resource represents an enormous expansion of the KTP's machinery and offers students and researchers extended opportunities for scientific work in the field of plastics technology.

The system is characterised by the following technical specifications:

  • 2x Lab Line Extruder 25 mm ⌀ x 30 D
  • 2x Lab Line Extruder 30 mm ⌀ x 30 D
