From 5 to 6 September 2022, plastics engineers from all over the world presented their current projects and research results at the 2nd International Symposium on Plastics Technology which was hosted by the Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV) Aachen. After the conference in spring 2022 had to be postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it could now take place as a presence conference in Aachen. Kunststofftechnik Paderborn (KTP) was represented by the scientific research assistants Theresa Arndt and Jonas Köllermeier who gave technical presentations on the following topics:
- Development of Scale-up Rules for the Quasi-Simultaneous Laser Transmission Welding (LTW) of Thermoplastics (Theresa Arndt)
- Development of Simulation Based Assistant Systems for Automatic Identification of the Process Conditions and Derivation of Recommendations to Optimize the Operating Point for a Profile Extrusion Line (Jonas Köllermeier)
